Employers do not expect a long work history from a student. They look for evidence you can learn and deliver.
What to put on a student resume
- Education first: degree, institution, dates or expected graduation. Add grades only if they help you.
- Projects: coursework, final-year or personal projects. Say what you built, with which tools, and what happened.
- Internships, volunteering, society roles: they count as experience.
- Skills: list tools and languages you can genuinely use.
Describing a project
Name the project, your role, the tools used and the outcome in two or three bullets. Use numbers only when you have them (for example, team size or number of users who tested it).
