Qatar CV and resume guidance
I'm a Qatari graduate. What should my CV show to stand out?
Show practical readiness: internships, training programmes, projects, languages and leadership, along with your degree. Many employers in Qatar run development programmes for Qatari nationals, so make your nationality visible in your personal details. Policies on national hiring (Qatarisation) have their own rules; check the official government portal if you need details.
Strong content:
- Internships and summer placements with real results.
- National service, if completed, with skills gained.
- Graduation projects linked to your target sector.
- English and Arabic levels, with a test score if you have one.
- Volunteering, especially at national or international events.
Keep the CV to one page if you are a fresh graduate, and use a summary that names the role or programme you are targeting.
Example summary: "Qatari computer engineering graduate with a summer internship in network operations, seeking a graduate role in telecommunications."
