How do I write a professional summary for a chef resume?

Name your level (commis, chef de partie, sous chef, head chef), your cuisine, the type of kitchen and one strong result or responsibility. A chef summary should let the reader picture you in their kitchen.

Example summaries (fictional):

• "Chef de partie with six years in high-volume hotel kitchens in Dubai, specialising in the grill and sauce sections. Run a section serving 300 covers a night and train two commis chefs."
• "Sous chef in modern Levantine and Mediterranean cuisine. Manage ordering, rotas and food safety records for a 90-cover restaurant and cut weekly food waste by reworking prep lists."

Keep it to two or three sentences. Avoid lines such as "passionate about food", which every chef writes. Show that passion through a cuisine, technique or result instead.
