How should a sales executive show target achievement on a resume?

Show your result against the target, the period, and how you ranked when possible. Sales hiring managers read numbers first, so every recent role should have at least one clear performance line.

Ways to express it without confusion:

• Against target: "Exceeded annual sales target in 2024 and 2025."
• Rank: "Ranked second of 18 sales executives in the region for new business."
• Growth: "Grew assigned accounts' order volume year on year for three consecutive years."
• Wins: "Closed the region's largest hospital equipment contract of the year."

Example (fictional): "Achieved 118 units against a 100-unit annual target for industrial generators, the highest in the Gulf team."

If you are allowed to share revenue values, give them with the period. If they are confidential, use ratios to target, rankings or unit volumes instead. Never inflate figures; references and payslips can reveal the truth, and interviewers often probe your numbers.
