Name, title and contact header design

What is a professional title line under my name?

It is a short line directly under your name that says what you do, often with your specialism. It tells the reader in one glance which role you are presenting yourself for.

Examples:

  • "Senior Accountant | IFRS and Group Reporting"
  • "Registered Nurse | Emergency and Critical Care"
  • "Front-End Developer | React and TypeScript"
  • "Hotel Front Desk Agent | Arabic, English, Hindi"

Tips:

  • Match it to the job you are applying for, using wording close to the advert where it is honest.
  • Keep it to one line.
  • Use your real level; do not claim a title you have not held. If you are moving up, a neutral title such as "Finance Professional" can work.
