Applying by email

How do I email a recruiter directly about a job I saw advertised?

Keep it short: name the role, give one or two reasons you fit, attach your CV and ask a clear question or state that you have applied. Recruiters are busy, so make your message easy to act on.

Example:
"Subject: Senior Accountant role – Hassan Iqbal

Dear Ms Varghese,

I have applied for the Senior Accountant role through your careers page and wanted to introduce myself. I am an ACCA-qualified accountant with six years in audit and group reporting in Dubai.

My CV is attached. I would be glad to answer any questions.

Kind regards,
Hassan Iqbal
+971 52 555 0101"

If the advert says "apply only through the portal", apply there first and only email if a contact is given.
