Medical Lab Technician resume
How should I list lab certifications and licences?
List each licence or certification in its own section with the exact title, issuing body, number if you choose to show it, and validity dates, as your regulator or certifying body issues it. Requirements differ by country and employer, so check with the official body where you want to work.
Examples lab professionals often list:
- Medical laboratory scientist or technician certifications from national certifying bodies, such as ASCP Board of Certification credentials
- Health authority licences, where a country requires them
- Phlebotomy certification
- Biosafety or dangerous goods transport training
Example (fictional): "Medical Laboratory Technician, [certifying body], certificate no. [number], valid until [date]."
Do not list an application or exam pass as a full licence. If a licence is in progress, write "application submitted [month year]". Employers usually verify credentials before hiring, so keep the details exact.
