United Arab Emirates (UAE) CV and resume guidance
How should I prepare my CV for a walk-in interview in Dubai?
Bring several printed copies on A4, plus a PDF on your phone in case they ask you to email it. Walk-in interviews are common in the UAE for hospitality, retail, security and some admin roles, and recruiters may see dozens of people in a few hours.
Prepare by:
- Keeping your CV to one or two pages with your phone and email at the top.
- Showing visa status, notice period and driving licence if the role is likely to need them.
- Tailoring the summary to the role advertised at the walk-in.
- Bringing originals or copies of key certificates only if the advert says so.
Print on plain white paper and keep the layout simple so it photocopies well. Arrive early with your copies in a folder, not folded.
