Bahrain CV and resume guidance

What should my CV highlight for banking and financial services jobs in Bahrain?

Highlight your product knowledge, compliance awareness, client results and relevant qualifications. Bahrain has long been a regional base for retail, wholesale and Islamic banks, insurers and investment firms, so recruiters compare many similar CVs and look for clear evidence of what you handled.

Show:

  • Products and segments: retail banking, corporate banking, trade finance, treasury, wealth, takaful or conventional insurance.
  • Control and compliance work: KYC reviews, AML checks, audit findings closed, regulatory reports prepared.
  • Results: portfolios grown, turnaround times reduced, errors cut.
  • Systems: core banking platforms, reporting tools and Excel.
  • Qualifications: finance degrees, professional certificates and local diplomas.

Example: "Reviewed and approved KYC files for 120 corporate clients each quarter with no repeat audit findings."

Keep confidential client names and exact balances out. Use a conservative design and two pages at most. If you are moving between conventional and Islamic banking, add a summary line that shows you understand both.
