Five free tools for the documents that come with job hunting and office work: making a CV small enough for an application form, turning scanned certificates into one PDF, or getting an old CV back into Word. They run in your browser, so your files are not uploaded anywhere, and there is no sign-up.
- PDF CompressorMake PDF files smaller while keeping text sharp and searchable.
- JPG to PDFTurn photos and scans into one PDF, in the order you choose.
- PDF to WordConvert a PDF into an editable Word document, with OCR for scans.
- Image CompressorCompress and resize JPG, PNG and WebP images, or hit a target size.
- Merge PDFCombine several PDFs into one document without losing quality.
Which tool do I need?
- An application form says your file is too large. Use the PDF Compressor for PDFs, or the Image Compressor for photos, which can aim for a size such as 100 KB or 200 KB.
- You photographed or scanned certificates. Put them into one PDF with JPG to PDF, then add other PDFs with Merge PDF.
- You only have your CV as a PDF. Get an editable copy with PDF to Word, or rebuild it in the Resume Builder.
- An employer wants one file. Combine your CV, cover letter and certificates with Merge PDF.
How these tools handle your files
Each tool opens your file inside the browser tab and creates the result there. Nothing is sent to our server, so there is no upload limit set by a server and nothing for us to delete afterwards. The limits shown on each tool (for example 100 MB for one PDF) protect your device’s memory; very large files work best on a computer rather than a phone.
Every result is checked before you download it: a compressed PDF must open with the same pages, a merged PDF must contain every page in the right order, and a Word file must open as a valid document. Sizes and percentages are measured on the real files, not estimated.
