Cashier resume

What should a cashier resume include?

A cashier resume should show accurate cash handling, the POS systems you have used, the type and pace of store you worked in, customer service skills and any results such as balanced tills or loyalty sign-ups. Employers want to know you are honest, accurate, fast and friendly.

Core sections:

  • Header: name, "Cashier", phone, email, city.
  • Summary of two or three lines.
  • Skills: cash handling, POS, card and mobile payments, returns, customer service, languages.
  • Experience with bullets, including store type (supermarket, fashion, restaurant, fuel station).
  • Education and any training.

Example summary (fictional): "Cashier with three years in a busy supermarket, handling high transaction volumes accurately, balancing my till at every shift end and helping customers quickly and politely."

One page is usually enough.
