Electrician resume
What should an electrician resume include?
An electrician resume should include your trade level, the type of electrical work you do (domestic, commercial, industrial, maintenance), your licences or trade cards, key technical skills and bullets showing real installations, fault-finding and safe working. Employers want to see quickly whether your experience matches their sites.
Core sections:
- Header: name, "Electrician" (or "Maintenance Electrician"), phone with country code, email, city.
- Summary: three lines with years, sector and strengths.
- Licences and certifications, with numbers and expiry dates where the authority issues them.
- Key skills: wiring, distribution boards, testing and inspection, fault-finding, reading drawings.
- Work experience with project or site details.
- Training, apprenticeship or diploma.
Example summary (fictional): "Commercial electrician with eight years installing lighting, power and containment in offices and malls, plus testing and commissioning before handover."
Keep it to one or two pages in a simple, single-column layout.
