Event Planner / Coordinator resume

What should an event planner or coordinator resume include?

An event planner resume should show the types and sizes of events you have run, your role in each, budgets you managed, suppliers you coordinated and the results: attendance, feedback, leads, sponsorship or on-time delivery. Employers want proof you can deliver events smoothly under pressure.

Core sections:

  • Header: name, "Event Planner" or "Event Coordinator", contact details, city, portfolio link if you have one.
  • Summary: event types, years, scale and strengths.
  • Key skills: budgeting, vendor management, logistics, registration platforms, on-site management.
  • Experience with event-based bullets.
  • Education and certifications.

Example summary (fictional): "Event coordinator with five years delivering corporate conferences, product launches and gala dinners of 100–1,500 guests, managing budgets, suppliers and on-site teams."

Keep it to one or two pages in a clear layout.
