Employers and recruiters who use the ResumeBuilder.ae employer portal agree to this code when they create an account. It protects the candidates who choose to be found, and it is part of our Terms and Conditions.
The code
- Use candidate information only to recruit for real vacancies, and never sell or pass it on.
- Never ask candidates for money: no fees for jobs, visas, training or interviews.
- Do not decide on, or ask about, nationality, gender, age, religion, marital status, pregnancy, disability or ethnicity, unless the law requires it for the role.
- Contact candidates only through requests they accept, and respect a "no".
- Keep downloaded CVs secure and delete them when you no longer need them.
- Tell us at support@jobb.ae if your company details or trade licence change.
What we check
- Only companies whose trade licence our team has reviewed can search candidates. A confirmed email address is not verification.
- Employer accounts must use a company email address, and the company website must be on the same domain.
- Searches cannot filter by nationality, gender, age, religion, marital status, photo or salary.
- Candidates see who contacts them, can decline any request, can report a request and can block a company.
If the code is broken
We review every report. Depending on what happened we may warn the organisation, limit its access, suspend it, or close it, and we may tell the authorities where the law requires. Candidates' blocks and reports are never shown to the employer as coming from a named person.
Examples
- Not allowed: asking a candidate to pay for a visa, a medical test, training or an "application fee"; contacting a candidate by phone or email you found elsewhere after they declined; rejecting someone because of their nationality or age when the law does not require it; sharing downloaded CVs with another company.
- Fine: asking whether a candidate holds a licence or certificate the job legally requires; sending a CV request that explains the role, location and salary range; keeping a short note for your own team about why a profile fits.
For candidates
You decide whether employers can find you, what they see, and whether to accept each request. Nothing is shared unless you accept and tick it, and you can stop CV access at any time. If an employer breaks this code, report the request and block the company from your profile; they are not told who reported them.
Report a problem
Candidates can use Report on any request in their profile. Anyone can also write to support@jobb.ae. We aim to review reports within two working days.
