Caregiver / Nursing Assistant resume

What should a caregiver resume summary include?

A caregiver summary should state who you have cared for, in what setting, and the qualities families or agencies trust you for. Two or three sentences are enough.

Include:

  • Years of experience and client group: older adults, people with dementia, children with disabilities, post-surgery recovery.
  • Setting: private home, care home, assisted living, hospital ward, agency.
  • One or two certificates, such as first aid or a care certificate, if you hold them.

Example (fictional): "Compassionate caregiver with six years supporting older adults in private homes, including clients living with dementia and limited mobility. Experienced in personal care, meal preparation and medication reminders, with current first aid and CPR training."

Example (fictional): "Nursing assistant with three years on a 30-bed rehabilitation ward, skilled in safe transfers and accurate observation charts."
