How should a fresh computer science graduate write a software engineer resume?

Lead with education and projects, because these are your strongest evidence. Put your degree near the top, then two to four projects that show real engineering, then internships, then a grouped skills section.

For each project, include:

• What it does and who used it.
• The stack, for example React, Node.js and MongoDB.
• What you personally built and one result.
• A link to the repository if the code is clean and has a README.

Example (fictional): "Built a campus room-booking web app with Django and PostgreSQL, used by around 300 students in the final semester; wrote unit tests for the booking logic."

Mention hackathons, open-source contributions, teaching assistant roles and relevant coursework such as data structures or operating systems only if they add something. Keep it to one page.
