How do I send my resume on WhatsApp as a document instead of a photo?
Use WhatsApp's attach option and choose Document, then pick your PDF. Sending as a document keeps the original PDF, with its text and layout, while photo sharing would turn a screenshot into a compressed image.
Steps in general terms:
- Open the chat with the recruiter.
- Tap the attachment icon (often a paperclip or plus sign).
- Choose Document, then browse to your resume PDF.
- Check the file name shown before sending.
- Add a short message, for example "Dear Ms Khan, please find my CV for the Store Supervisor role attached. Kind regards, Rafael Santos."
Alternatively, open the PDF in your Files app, tap Share and choose WhatsApp, which also sends it as a document. Only send a resume on WhatsApp when the employer has invited it.
