Finding and sending files on a phone

The browser says the PDF downloaded, but I can't see it in my Files app. Why?

The file may be in a different storage area from the one you're looking at, such as a work profile, a secure or private folder, a memory card, or a cloud location. Opening it from the browser shows you where it went.

Check:

  • The browser's downloads list: tap the file to open it, or look for its location.
  • Other storage places in your Files app, like a memory card or cloud drive.
  • Whether you used a work profile or a second copy of the browser; files there are separate.
  • Whether the Files app shows hidden or private folders.

Once you find it, move the PDF to a normal folder you can reach from any app, so job sites can see it when you upload.
