Templates for students, mid-career and executives

What should a mid-level professional's resume template look like?

A mid-level resume suits a clean, single-column template where work experience dominates, supported by a short summary, a skills section and compact education.

Design priorities:

  • Experience gets most of the space, with three to five achievement bullets for recent roles.
  • A summary that names your specialism and level, for example: "Procurement specialist with seven years in construction supply chains."
  • Skills grouped on two or three lines.
  • Education condensed to one or two lines per qualification.

One to two pages is typical at this stage. The design should look professional and current without decoration; you are now selling a track record.

This is also a good moment to remove student-era content you no longer need, such as coursework, school results and minor activities. Replacing them with recent certifications or a key project keeps the page focused on what you can do now.
