Part-time and casual jobs

Should I put my part-time jobs on my resume as a student?

Yes. Part-time jobs are real work experience, and for most students they are the clearest proof that you can turn up on time, follow instructions, deal with customers and balance work with study.

Include them under Work Experience with the employer, your job title, the location and the dates. Add two or three bullets that show what you actually did and any responsibility you were trusted with.

Example: "Handled the till and card payments on busy weekend shifts and balanced the cash drawer at closing."

Even if the job has nothing to do with the career you want, the habits it shows (reliability, teamwork, communication) are what employers look for in new graduates. Leave a job out only if it was extremely short or would push something more relevant off the page.
