How to convert images to PDF

  1. Add your images. Choose several at once, drag them in, or paste a screenshot.
  2. Put them in order. Drag the images, or use the arrows. Each image becomes one page.
  3. Rotate if needed. The rotate button turns an image a quarter turn. Photos taken sideways on a phone are already shown the right way up.
  4. Choose page settings. Page size, orientation, margins, how large the image appears, and the page background. The preview shows the result.
  5. Convert and download. The PDF is checked, then offered for download.

Page settings explained

  • Page size: A4 is standard in most countries; US Letter and Legal in the United States and Canada. “Same as each image” makes each page exactly the size of its picture, with no white border.
  • Orientation: Automatic gives wide images a landscape page and tall images a portrait page. You can also force one orientation for every page.
  • Fit to page makes each image as large as the page allows; Actual size keeps small images small. Images always keep their proportions and are never stretched or cropped.
  • Page background: the colour around the image, also shown behind transparent areas of PNG images.

Image quality

JPG photos are placed into the PDF exactly as they are, with no re-compression, so the PDF has the same quality as your photos. If the PDF is too large, tick “Make the PDF smaller”, which re-saves big photos at print quality, or run the finished PDF through the PDF Compressor.

Typical uses

  • Scanned or photographed certificates, ID pages and references for a job application.
  • Receipts for an expense claim.
  • Screenshots or drawings to share as one document.

Supported formats and limits

JPG (JPEG), PNG and WebP, up to 100 images per PDF and 30 MB per image. HEIC photos from iPhones are not supported: share them as JPG, or set the camera to “Most Compatible”.

Privacy: your files stay on your device

This tool works inside your web browser. Your files are opened and processed on your own computer or phone; they are not uploaded to our server, and we never see, store or keep them. That also means there is no waiting for uploads or downloads, and the tool keeps working if your connection drops after the page has loaded. Closing the page clears everything.

Frequently asked questions

Is JPG to PDF free?

Yes, with no sign-up and no watermark.

Can I combine many photos into one PDF?

Yes. Add up to 100 images; each becomes a page in the order shown.

Why does my phone photo appear rotated in other tools but not here?

Phones often store photos sideways with a note saying how to turn them. This tool reads that note, so photos appear the right way up.

Will transparent PNG images keep their transparency?

Yes. Transparent areas show the page background colour you choose.

To add existing PDFs, use Merge PDF. To make photos smaller first, use the Image Compressor.
